Abstract

This article, written from philosophical aesthetics, studies some significant examples of female stage creation, both in direction and dramaturgy, in contemporary Spain. The characteristic of a large group is to propose spaces for creative thought which show personal and social situations and problems of our days (identity, ecosophy, gender violence, democratic memory). These conditions are global and, however, they become universal. They all propose possible alternatives to think about the world in a different way, incorporating angles that have been strategically blinded by canonical tradition. Angles that can unite reason and poetry. Women playwrights and stage directors imagine a peaceful world, a world without destructive atavistic attitudes, a world where sensitivity and affections are challenged in the space of the common, both attitudes relegated to the subsidiary by having been associated with women. This fact conditions all coexistence relationships: hierarchy and no dialogue, competitiveness and no collaboration.
