Abstract
This paper has as its purpose to rethink the relationship between political action and institution, taking into account the reflections on this subject, not always explicit or fully elaborated, by Jacques Rancière. It will argue the necessity to elaborate an alternative notion of institution that could show how political action exceeds any institutional order by confronting its police dynamics, but also makes use of institutional arrangements to articulate its demands for equality. Connected to these considerations, it is also at stake the question about the conditions of political action and its effects on the being-together-with-others, if we bear in mind the way it interrupts government structures and given social mechanisms.
