Abstract
This article examines how socio-environmental studies in the Southern Cone are transformed by working at the hatched area between Science, Technology, and the Environment. Through a critical review of Socio-Environmental Studies and their reconfiguration through Science, Technology and Society sensibilities, three key lines are identified: infrastructuring, local resources, and controversies. These lines highlight how socio-natural assemblages reshape research practices and offer new approaches to tackling the climate crisis from interdisciplinary perspectives. Finally, the article invites further exploration of the limits and potentials of this convergence to foster situated and collaborative socio-environmental responses.
